Whether you’re preparing for your university life in Sydney or just looking for ways to max out your study time: Sydney Student Living is here to help.
With our extensive commons rooms, amenities, room styles, and services available within each of our locations, we’ve not only made it easy for students to study, but super rewarding too.
At Sydney Student Living – you don’t have to worry about locking yourself into your room, doing your studies on the floor, and not resurfacing for days. With a variety of functional common spaces ideal for individual or group study, you’ll be able to study in a range of different ways that’ll make your study time a breeze.
Make the most of your studies: with your own personal desk and study space
At Sydney Student Living, all of our studios – at both our comfortable and convenient locations – come with a study space and free wifi perfect for completing your studies in peace.
We understand the difference this makes to university students looking for student accommodation that checks off their needs.
Unlike other affordable accommodation options that offer only common areas, or simply expect you to travel to campus in order to complete your studies, we’ve made sure our studios provide all the tools you need to be able to live, study and dream in peace.
They’re private, quiet, and all contain a study desk and sturdy chair (because we understand the inconvenience of a flimsy chair for those hour-long study sessions!), as well as free wifi, and a flat screen LCD TV which proves really useful for those who want to practise presentations, hook up their laptop and maximise their study space.
And for those who plan to get a shared room – don’t worry, we provide two desks in each shared room to ensure you have your own area to work away.
More so, we provide ample storage space, making it easy for you to keep your study desk clear and provide a dedicated area for your studies.
Just look at the set up we have going on in our Two Share Premium Suite over in Concord!
It’s all about making it easy for you to make the most of your study capabilities, so you can succeed in whatever degree you’re working towards.
The ideal common areas for students to study - in groups or just in a different setting
As well as providing each student room with the kind of study set up that makes it easy to make the most of your studies, we also have the kind of common rooms that set us apart from other accommodation options for students.
Let’s break it down by each location!
At Top Ryde, our common areas are as follows:
- Rooftop Terrace
Our rooftop terrace offers panoramic views of Ryde and sweeping views to the city. It’s open for access from 7:30AM – 10PM daily, equipped with BBQs, lounge chairs and tables for the perfect day on top of the world (or just Ryde). It’s the perfect space for those who want to get outside, clear their head, and provide a unique space for their study. Just bring your laptop, and you can take in the sunset views while completing your next assignment. It’s also pretty handy for those who want to facilitate a group study session: everyone will love this setting!
- Chill Out Zone
Come chill on our LoveSacs in our chill out zone! It’s the best space for kicking back, but some students enjoy setting their laptop on their lap and getting a little bit of work done while tuning in to all the community activities in the apartments. There’s ample seating throughout the entire space, with tables that reside by our kitchen area. And we even have a vending machine and printer nearby! It’s a great way to get out of your room for your studies and have everything you need at your fingertips.
Authentic Italian coffee anyone? That’s what you’ll find at Top Ryde with our very own onsite cafe, located adjacent to the reception. You can easily grab a coffee, a cake, and sit down with your laptop to do some private study with the kind of fuel you need to get through a big assignment. It’s also another great location for your group study sessions!
- Meeting Room
If you need a designated, private space to meet and think (and take advantage of resources to help you nail that presentation) we have a common meeting room perfect for a small group of up to 8. It includes a TV (with laptop connections provided), a whiteboard and free wifi. You’ll have to contact reception to book this one out, but it’s a great way for you to get your study group together – or even a great space if you want to spread out and brainstorm on your own!
At Concord, you’ll find these common areas available with your stay:
Just like Top Ryde, we have a rooftop chill out zone perfect for students to catch that Sydney sunset and complete their studies outdoors, in the fresh air. It’s great for students who’ve spent the last 2 days locked into their room working – they can get outside, have a stretch, see the light, and polish off that essay beneath the sunlight. An ideal location for study meetings!
- Study rooms for group study
Need we say anymore? We have dedicated rooms at Concord to give you a private and secure space for completing your studies. Great for group study sessions or for isolating yourself until that assignment is done!
Or, you can pop over to our public study room to get out of your head while you work.
- BBQ areas and a swimming pool space
We may not encourage bringing your laptop into the pool, but we find a lot of our students enjoy sunbaking by the water, cooking a snag on the barbie, and bringing your laptop along to review your study notes as you go. Much like our other common areas, it’s a great place for you to maximise your study capabilities in your accommodation.
Both locations are also conveniently located, with parks, restaurants, cafes and shopping centres nearby to make it easy for you to get out of the residence, without having to travel miles to get there.
These common areas and convenience make a real difference to the way our students can make the most of their studies at Sydney Student Living. And, with free wifi accessible from anywhere in the residence, you won’t have to worry about losing access!
At Sydney Student Living, we understand that it’s important to find student accommodation that accommodates you and your studies.
We also boast a convenient location that keeps you close to the university action to save time on your travels, a quiet residence, helpful staff, and the kind of community that’ll help you find support and your #squad through your stay.
“Very warm and kind reception, really efficient to solve the problem, excellent living experience. The gym is modernly equipped, and social spaces are clean and hygienic.” –
“The location is great as my university is only a few minutes away from this student accommodation and the rooms are pretty cool which makes your experience here one that you will seldom forget.”
“Stayed in a single room on my own next door to my daughter who has been living here for 3.5 years. I shared the bathroom which was exclusive to our two rooms. My room was comfortable, clean bedding with a small fridge … The communal kitchen had excellent cooking facilities for all guests staying. A bus could be caught opposite the residence and take you in 5min. to the Burwood Railway Station or Westfield Shopping Centre. Walking to these places was a safe 10 minutes. The shared common area adjacent to the communal kitchen was clean and comfortable for guests to eat meals, socialise and watch TV.”
